Spring clean your body and mind

Welcome to spring, the perfect season to cleanse your body and mind of habits that we do subconsciously. If you are an experienced cleanser, then now is the time to begin a detox (nothing to radical as it may over burden the liver). My philosophy is small improvements on a daily basis facilitate great change in health and fitness. Why do small daily changes work? Because good intentions are like New Years resolutions, they never last. I recommend that you be kind to yourself and make positive changes one day at a time. Lets begin today with our body's most important nutrient - water. Yes, I am serious! Water is fantastic for weight loss as it suppresses the appetite and increases metabolic rate. My challenge to you is to drink 6-8 glasses of water (hot, cold, mineral, herbal tea, diluted fruit or vegetable juice). If you only achieve one glass today, that is fine, just aim for two or more tomorrow. If you already regularly drink water, then keep going....
